What:              12th annual tour of 5 distinctive homes in East Washington Park

 

When:           Saturday, May 8, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

               

Where:          Start at any home or at Steele Elementary (320 S. Marion Parkway)

  ·         818 S. Franklin Street

  ·         909 S. Race Street

  ·         945 S. Race Street

  ·         974 S. Race Street

  ·         1126 S. Williams Street

 

Why:             To benefit Steele Elementary School

  ·         More than $32,000 raised in 2009

  ·         5% of proceeds will be donated to the DPS Education Outreach for homeless students

  ·         A portion of proceeds will go towards providing second educators in all classrooms at Steele Elementary

 

Who:             More than 1,000 people visited the Tour last year

  ·         Community members looking for remodeling and building ideas

  ·         Builders, architects, contractors & interior designers    

  ·         Steele Elementary School families

  ·         More than 100 committed volunteers

               

How:             Buy $15 advance tickets at www.washparkhometour.org or from a Steele Elementary student

  ·         $20 day-of-tour tickets can be bought at any of the homes or at Steele Elementary

  ·        Contractor, supplier, neighborhood & community directory ads

 

More fun:     Join us for a plant sale, BBQ, raffle, art show and live performances at historic

Steele Elementary School at 320 S. Marion Parkway, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

(Public restrooms available at the school)

 

Scavenger      There will be a scavenger hunt for pictures of objects from the homes that spell out

hunt:            ‘Wash Park Home Tour’ on the brochure cover! Prizes and fun for all!


Child Care:    Seeking Sitters will be providing child care at no charge. Call Seeking Sitters at (303) 362-1429 to

  reserve your slot.
